After the Cultural Revolution, in order to resolve its own crisis of survival, the Communist Party adopted the so-called policy of “reform and opening up.” Overnight, the Party shifted from “taking class struggle as the key link” to “taking economic construction as the center,” from “tightening our belts to make revolution” to “looking at everything in terms of money”—as if it had made a complete 180-degree turn. On the surface, the Communist Party appears to have changed its tune, and the collapse of the international communist camp led many people to breathe a sigh of relief, believing that the threat communism posed to humanity was now a thing of the past. But is that really so?
Whether Chinese society is “surnamed socialist” or “surnamed capitalist” seems to matter a great deal to the world, but to the communist evil spirit it is really beside the point. This book has repeatedly emphasized that communism is not a doctrine, a social system, or a failed experiment—it is an evil spirit, whose purpose is to destroy all of humanity by destroying culture and corrupting morality. Only by grasping this central thread—that the ultimate purpose of communism is to destroy humanity—can one see clearly, through all the complex and confusing appearances, the evil spirit's roadmap, its plan, its procedure, even its operating manual for destroying mankind.
Killing has gone underground, but the destruction of people never stops for a moment. The Communist Party sometimes lets people die, sometimes lets them live; sometimes it starves and impoverishes people, sometimes it lets them grow fat and wealthy; one moment it forces abstinence, the next it encourages indulgence; one moment it destroys culture, the next it “restores tradition”; one moment it is “socialist,” the next “capitalist.” At its core, the one constant amid all this change is this: the destruction of genuine traditional culture, the corruption of human morality, and turning people against God until they become less than human—this is the Communist Party's one unchanging feature amid all its transformations.
The communist evil spirit is composed of “hatred.” In order to destroy people, it leads those it has deceived to turn against God, against tradition, against culture, and to curse their own ancestors.
Besides “killing all the way,” the Communist Party also relies on “deception.” This “killing” and “deception” correspond to what the Party often calls being “tough with one hand, soft with the other.” At bottom, both “killing” and “deception” derive from the dual core of communism—“atheism that hates gods and Buddhas, combined with the philosophy of struggle.” “Killing” and “deception” complement each other: there is deception within the killing, and killing within the deception.
As for “deception,” the Communist Party carries out a comprehensive package of deception, ranging from the microscopic to the macroscopic. From the ideals deep in people's hearts, to the standards of right and wrong and good and evil, to the most basic bottom line of how a person conducts themselves—deception is everywhere. Swindling people of money, swindling them sexually, fake cigarettes, fake liquor, poisoned rice, poisoned milk—these are all child's play, the inevitable results of the moral corruption the Communist Party has already caused. Why is the Communist Party able to deceive people? Are people deceived merely for the sake of employment, promotion, getting rich, or keeping a mistress? Certainly there are plenty of such people, especially today, when money and sex themselves have degenerated into articles of faith. But weren't there also, in the early days, children of wealthy families who “abandoned home and fortune” to join the Communist Party's revolution?
Every person has a divine side. Those ideals and yearnings for belonging that transcend the ordinary—the “other shore” of Buddhism, the “return to one's true self” of Daoism—this divine content was implanted into human life by God himself when he created man; that longing itself exists innately, deep within every person's heart. The Communist Party exploits people's beautiful aspirations to deceive them, using emotions such as the fate of the nation and the future of the ethnic group to fool people, and luring Party leaders and those around them with concepts such as “liberating all humanity” or even a “community of shared human destiny.” Because, aside from a truly evil being like Jiang Zemin—a case that is virtually unique—even the Party's leaders are, after all, human beings; they too cannot see through the communist evil spirit, and they too are both its victims and its instruments. The evil spirit exploits precisely their ambitions—even ambitions framed as being for the sake of the people—to carry out a massive deception, stealing away the divinity and ideals deep in people's souls, hijacking the divine nature that transcends the physical body which every person originally possesses. Like switching a train onto a different track, it diverts the path of people's innate pursuit of returning to the divine onto the hellish track leading to the Communist Party's “paradise on earth.” Actions carried out under the Communist Party's banner and exhortations are, in reality, the operations of the evil spirit—no one can escape the evil spirit's arrangements, nor evade its ultimate purpose.
The communist evil spirit knows that people always retain a side of themselves capable of understanding the truth. When that moment of clarity comes, in order to cover up this monumental lie, coercive means must be used to sustain it, and an even bigger lie must be used to conceal this one—“killing all the way” and “deceiving all the way” thus become inevitable.
In order to destroy people, it throws society into chaos and confuses people's hearts and minds, which is why the Communist Party also clings tightly to the tactic of “struggle.” Inciting rootless proletarians to struggle against landlords is struggle; provoking the “Five Red Categories” to struggle against the “Five Black Categories” is likewise struggle. To carry out struggle, people must be divided into “the people” and “enemies,” “friends” and “dissidents.” Backed by dictatorship, the CCP lifts bad people up to the ninth heaven while trampling good people down into the ninth level of the earth; the inevitable result of struggle is that bad people rule while good people suffer.
The most vicious trick the communist evil spirit uses to destroy people is corruption—corrupting the human heart itself.
From the moment a person is born, through their growth, and up to their death, the Communist Party shapes them according to the needs of the communist evil spirit, inverting the standards of right and wrong, good and evil—calling good “bad” and bad “good”—compelling people to abandon ancient traditions; the lower a person's conduct sinks, the more it satisfies the evil spirit's designs, and it never tires of destroying people.
After the whole population's communist “ideals” collapsed into disillusionment, the CCP turned to using materialism to encourage and incite the entire population to pursue money and sensual pleasure. The evil spirit indulges human desire without limit, using every manifestation of social corruption as a tool to control power and, ultimately, to destroy people. The great moral collapse of Chinese society today is the result of decades upon decades of relentless corruption by the evil spirit. “Blocking the road to heaven while opening the gates of hell”—this is precisely how the CCP has brought the whole of society to the brink of destruction.
